Science
Exploring making complete electrical circuits and investigating what happens when we change different components.
Having great fun making our own working model circulation systems.
Beech class had a fun afternoon taking part in a ‘Science in a Bag’ experiment. We found out all about what astronauts eat in space, which is a lot more complicated than on Earth. As there are no refrigerators in space, space food must be packaged, stored and prepared with care to stop it spoiling, especially on longer missions. We found out how foods have to be carefully chosen to ensure they take up the minimum of space on board and to ensure they keep the astronauts on board healthy. We also learned that often food is stored in freeze dried packets or comes in pre-prepared powdered pouches. We had a great time trying out making our own astronaut puddings in a pouch.
