PE & Sports Premium

In realising the aims of our Mission statement and motto through the P.E. curriculum, we seek to provide teaching and learning opportunities which will improve the health of pupils, teaching them skills of resilience and perseverance as well as the social and collaborative skills which are essential for life.

We believe that all pupils should access an enriching P.E. curriculum regardless of ability, gender, race, faith or cultural background.  We believe that the curriculum can be adapted for the needs and abilities of all pupils and that every child can feel success and improve their health and wellbeing through developing physical and teamwork skills.

St. Peter’s CE School is a member of the Chorley Schools Sport Partnership. The PE subject leader is the primary link teacher whose role is to attend partnership meetings and inform teachers of the courses available to them. The partnership is used to provide curricular and extra-curricular support so giving the children an opportunity to experience a greater range of activities.
